Further Information"Serial Range HX311 - HX357. 47 Halifax Mk.111. Delivered by Handley Page (Crocklewood & Radlett) between 26 Nov 43 and 8Jan 44.

Airborne 2345 27 May 44 from Skipton-on-Swale to bomb the military camp. Shot down by a night-fighter, crashing at Oostham-Langven (Limburg), 6 km WSW of Leopoldsburg, Belgium. Funeral services for the three airmen killed were held 30 May 44 at St-Truiden; their graves are now located in the Heverlee War Cemetery.
